🌟 Leadership That Set the Tone

• Executive Committee Kickoff: Our term began with a high-profile inaugural meeting featuring Dr. Nina Ahmed, TBN 24 media leaders, and founding President Mr. Mazharul Haq. This gathering laid the foundation for a year of strategic growth and inclusive leadership.
• Lifetime Membership Growth: A surge in membership reflects renewed trust, transparency, and enthusiasm for BADV’s mission.
•  Leadership in Action ~ How BADV Builds Future Leaders Through Every Event: The current BADV President actively promotes distributed leadership by appointing conveners and forming sub-committees for each event. This approach empowers members to take ownership of key responsibilities, fostering leadership development and encouraging broader participation within the organization.

🎉 Cultural Milestones That United Us

• Bangla New Year (বৈশাখী উৎসব): Two consecutive years (2024 & 2025) of vibrant cultural celebration, featuring top performers, vibrant stalls, and youth-led cultural segments - solidifying BADV as a cultural epicenter in the tri-state area.
• Pitha Utsav 2025: Our first standalone winter festival celebrated Bangladeshi culinary heritage with overwhelming community participation and media coverage.
• Annual Picnic & Interstate Cricket Tournament: Held at Fort Mott State Park, this event blended tradition, sport, and unity with on-the-spot cooking of breakfast and lunch - plus our first interstate cricket match.
• International Mother Language Day: A moving tribute to our linguistic martyrs, reaffirming BADV’s commitment to cultural preservation and intergenerational education.

🤝 Community Outreach & Civic Recognition

• Shahid Minar & Ekushey Observances: BADV’s presence at key cultural events across Pennsylvania strengthened diaspora ties and elevated our visibility.
• BD Flag-Raising Ceremony in Philadelphia: A landmark civic moment attended by the Mayor and elected officials - BADV proudly represented the Bangladeshi community on a public platform.
• Celebrating Faith, Fostering Unity: BADV proudly embraces religious diversity by actively including celebrations from all faiths - most notably Hindu Puja ceremonies. This inclusive approach reflects our commitment to building a community where every tradition is honored, and every member feels a sense of belonging.
• Symbol of Heritage and Honor ~ Bangladesh Flag Returns to BADV’s Story: The BADV website now proudly features the restored acknowledgment of the Bangladesh flag flying on Philadelphia’s iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway - symbolizing our community’s enduring presence, cultural pride, and civic recognition.

🧡 Health, Wellness & Humanitarian Impact

• Cancer Risk Reduction Seminar: Delivered life-saving knowledge and resources to dozens of families, empowering informed health decisions.
• Cancer Awareness & Screening Survey: In partnership with Jefferson Health, BADV conducted a community-wide cancer survey promoting early detection. Eligible participants received a $15 gift - turning awareness into action.
• Flood Relief Donation: BADV mobilized relief funds to support flood victims in Bangladesh.
• Doa Mahfils for Bereaved Families: In moments of grief, BADV stood by its members with heartfelt prayer gatherings that offered comfort, solidarity, and spiritual support.
